What TI does with what you type, in plain words.

What TI's answers are

TI's answers are written by artificial intelligence from the Federal Tax Authority's published documents, to assist you in finding and understanding the law. They are not tax advice, and they are not official information from the Federal Tax Authority. TI is not a tax agent or tax consultant. Please do not type personal or client details

TI answers questions about UAE tax law. It does not need names, TRNs, invoice numbers or anyone's personal details to do that. Describe the situation instead: "a mainland LLC that rents flats for its staff".

Your questions

To answer a question, TI sends its text to the services below. TI does not store the text of your question, and does not write it to its logs. It keeps:

• the answer, for up to 30 days, so the same question asked again is answered at once. It is filed under a one-way code made from the question, not the question itself. An answer can restate facts from the question.
• a short, general topic for each answer, such as "VAT on staff accommodation", with the articles it cited, so we can see which subjects people ask about.
• the question itself only if you tick "Share this question" when you rate an answer.

Who else receives your question

• OpenRouter and the AI hosting companies it routes to write TI Public answers. They may be outside the UAE.
• Anthropic writes TI Pro and TI Expert answers.
• Voyage AI, through MongoDB, turns the question into numbers so TI can search by meaning.
• Cloudflare carries traffic to TI. Hetzner runs the server TI is on.
• Your browser loads TI's fonts from Google Fonts.

None of them receives your email address from TI. TI does not sell data and shows no advertising.

Daily allowances without an account

To count answers per day, TI sets one cookie with a random number in it, and reads the network address your connection comes from. It stores only one-way codes made from these, and the code made from your network address changes every day, so it cannot be followed from one day to the next. Records of what was answered, and in which tier, are kept for 13 months.
